This is my first review so bear with me. This manga follows the path of our two protagonists going through a journey of self-discovery and love. Now that sounds cliche but what I think makes this manga special is it feels like the characters are people. That sounds weird but as a fan of romance manga, this is easily one of my most enjoyable to read, I hate the misunderstandings in romance manga. I hate when the main character looks at another girl the the heroine gets sad and they don't Fcking TALK FOR LIKE 20 chapters. BUT A BIG BUT this manga resolves manyconflicts quickly and swiftly, one of the moments I genuinely felt sick as the protagonist was getting insecure but the character grew and so did the cast. It's an adult cast that acts like (mostly) adults. I have a soft spot for cute romance and this manga is worth the read, give it a try What is the worst that can happen? 10/10
The story follows 28-year-old civil servant Akiyasu Shin as he's chosen to take part in a new government program under the so-called "NEET protection law." This project pairs government employees with NEETs, as a means to rehabilitate them and re-introduce them into society. Problem is, his chosen partner, Sawamoto Himari, was signed up without her knowledge! Will Akiyasu Shin end up winning her over? Or will this arranged marriage be a bust!? (Source: DanReadsManga)
Marry Me! is a sweet, wholesome romance manga that proves love can bloom in the most unexpected ways. The story begins with Akiyasu Shin, a civil servant chosen for Japan’s “NEET protection program,” who suddenly finds himself in an arranged marriage with Himari, a quiet and withdrawn young woman who’s been living in isolation. What starts as an awkward arrangement quickly grows into a tender relationship full of warmth and sincerity. The strength of Marry Me! lies in its simplicity. Rather than leaning on heavy drama or over-the-top conflicts, it focuses on the gentle day-to-day interactions between its leads. Shin’s patience and kindness slowly chip awayat Himari’s loneliness, creating a love story that feels genuine, healing, and heartwarming. Their small gestures — cooking together, sharing quiet conversations, supporting one another — make the romance incredibly relatable and comforting. The artwork is soft and expressive, perfectly capturing the cozy, slice-of-life atmosphere. Each panel radiates a sense of intimacy and warmth, making it the kind of series that leaves you smiling after every chapter. If you’re looking for a feel-good romance that emphasizes kindness, understanding, and the beauty of growing together, Marry Me! is a delightful read. It’s not just about marriage — it’s about finding companionship, healing old wounds, and building a future hand in hand.
