TLDR; Shizuo/Kamina knockoff tells you to shut up and deal with your problems like a man What you should expect reading Kuroha to Nijisuke: Oh no gang violence Wow girl hair drawn very well. So soft want touch. Straight boner for male protagonist Philosophy boner for male protagonist Oh no gang violence PIERCE THE HEAVENS Ooo character developmentDid not see that comin ok I see you While this has a sequel (which is amazing but not fully available in English yet), this is a 4 chapter standalone story that somehow doesn't feel that rushed. In just 4 chapters, the author squeezed in likable characters, natural-flowing humor, a pretty significant and relatable message, some amazing action, and a surprising plot twist (which is more of a setup for the sequel, but still interesting in and of itself).
Kuroha Yoitsuji has always been told that she possesses extraordinarily good luck, but as a result, it seems that bad luck spreads to those around her. Orphaned at a young age, she is cared for by the leader of the Yakuza group "Hibauchi," who uses her as a living weapon against his enemies. One day, in despair at the misfortune she causes others, Kuroha throws herself out a window to escape her guardian and captor. However, before she can hit the ground, she is rescued by a youth named Nijisuke Murokawa. Although Nijisuke has been the victim of an unbelievable number of accidents in his life, he refuses to believe in luck—whether it be good or bad. Insisting that all events are the result of mere coincidences, his mental and physical strengths serve as an inspiration to Kuroha. As she attempts to leave the city with the help of Nijisuke and his mysterious companion Hokuto, she begins to wonder if it is her savior who is really strong or if it is her who is very weak. Is it possible for her to take control of her own fate and stop being a tool for others? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
English: A short but good story! I really didn't expect much of this manga, but after finishing it, I was left with a really good impression. It has it's funny and cute moments, the small cast of characters we meet is well written, and the setting the story develops in, though simple, works just fine with it's interesting bits. The art is avarage imo, but pretty enough for the eye. I really liked the actions scenes and the how detailed the art is in some panels. I recommend this manga thoroughly :)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Español: ¡Una historia bastante corta pero entretenida!
So “ Kuroha to Nijisuke” is the first 3.5 chapter manga of this series and lemme tell ya folks, it is really really good. It’s about a girl Kuroha who is supposed to be blessed with luck and is pretty much being used by the Yakuza, especially with playing Russian roulette. She falls out of the window as she wasn’t able to take being used anymore and she meets hot tempered edgy boi himself Nijisuke. The art was really captivating like the faces were really drawn well with seeing the characters expressions in detail and the personalities of each character was spot on. It’sdefinitely those typical types of romance stories where “boy meets girl” but honestly, it really has a rare charm that would get me interested to read more of the series. Now I shall move to its sequel “ Kuroha to Nijisuke: Kuroki Majo no Divertimento”!
