Barely any plot. It's all about ''let's fuck'' oh, and ''cool eyes, I wanna date you now, and have sex, Sex sex sex sex, cool eyes, sex'' Complete and utter waste of my time. Read if you like: - mxm sex x1000 - Unusual art style - Heterochromia Things I liked/What there is to like: -The artstyle. For the most part. The cool eyes dude was WAY too skinny even for a guy. And not in a realistic skinny way. In a female proportion way. Which was disappointing though, but the rest were pretty consistent and well proportioned;-The original idea seemed good; - I like unusual features. Like heterochromia, so that was a cool thing; The cover is cool af. No bad mouthing from me here. What I didn't like/What there is to not like: -The uke was really feminine and unconsistent. Both in body and mind. And not in a ''believably feminine guy way''. He was a horny shojo fujoshi girl with a male body. It was weird and creepy; -Uke body proportions were unrealistic and weird; -The story was..... wait, there was a story? Oh yeah, clichés, sex, drama ''misunderstanding drama'', then more sex, than *oooh* edgy boy's got a gun. Why? No idea, it was out of nowhere. -Character's personalities were dumb at best and unconsistent and unrealistic at worst. It was fine by bit, but mostly unbeareable to read unless you were in it only for the ''guys having sex'' bits. It doesn't stand as an actual story. -Sex, sex and more sex without a point to it... it definetly was SOMEONE'S fetish, I wonder who....
Being in love with the most sought-after heartthrob of your college is bad enough. But yearning for him when you're gloomy, scrawny and gay is even worse. What else is there to do but to resign yourself to daydreams and masturbation? But what if luck was on your side for once and your crush showed up in your room, nearly naked and dead drunk? First of all this is not a psychological manga so you shouldn't take it too seriously. It's just a fluffy, light hearted yaoi with lots of nice smutty scenes, funny moments and crazy characters. I mean the uke is just too funny. So this is basically a simple story about two horny college students, who both have their own issues but fit together pretty good. The artwork is interesting because it's not really a typical Japanese manga style. It looks so Western and I felt like the plot was set in America. The characters are so well-drawn so I really didn't mind that uke was tooskinny. The story is maybe a little underdeveloped but the artwork made up for it.
I've read the first volume in a long while, but this is my first time reading (skimming, tbh) the second and third volume. Whew. It's a mess, and I'm taking a point off for how messy the plot is, but what a glorious mess. From the main pairing themselves to the way they interact...Nyannya is definitely familiar with Western BL tropes and I am here for it. The story doesn't do a perfect emulation, but it's still refreshing. I don't like Cole at all but I must admit he is a great character. His negativity is written REALLY well in how annoying and self-sabotaging it is. Hemesses up and makes a lot of mistakes and they're not light mistakes either. He's a hot mess, a train wreck, but I enjoy seeing him grow bit by bit. Bet he's going to have a really hot brat summer in 2024. I wish he'd get therapy tho. Alex has much less nuance to his character, but he serves as a nice contrast to Cole's overtly complex self. It's funny seeing the hot popular jock actually being the loyal and stable partner. I also enjoy that he actually leaves Cole repeatedly when he fucks up. Yes, they get back together (all hail toxic BL) but it somehow feels like they're going to really made it every time they made up. Cheers for you, kids.
