"Sometimes, the simplest stories bring the most joy" - that's Atsumare in a nutshell. This manga was my weekly dose of humor for years, and it never failed to put a grin on my face. Masahiro Anbe, the author, masterfully blends comedy and slice of life, creating a delightful and engaging experience. Each character is distinct and likable, adding their unique flavor to the story. I wouldn't recommend binge-reading this manga, enjoying a few chapters at a time is the best way to savor its charm. My only gripe? This deserved an anime adaptation. Seriously, how did this gem slip under the radar? If you're looking for a lengthyseries with plenty of laughs along the way, look no further than Atsumare. Trust me, Masahiro Anbe's work won't disappoint.
Goryou Daisuke is still unsure about which club to join. When he meets the three girl members of Mysterious Research Club while looking for the school's warehouse, he gets hypnotized to sign the registration form. Suzu who is obsessed with scary curses, Chiaki who only relies on her monstrous strength to perform dangerous magic tricks, and Kotone who can control people by hypnosis... Now, Daisuke's comical, yet chaotic life as the club's guinea pig to conduct mysterious research begins! (Source: MU)
Ah yes. it finally ended, what a long and joyful ride it has been with Atsumare. 379 chapters hits you hard, and with many you find yourself growing up with the series Each character had their own unique personalities and they never overpowered or contradicted another I enjoyed this manga, it had everything a good story could offer. -Comedy -Mystery -Unique Humor -Story -Development-New characters (with an impression) etc Atsumare is the series that lights up your day when things look grim. Nothing bad neither excessive, just an ideal balance of originality. The ending was...generic but I will be forgiving since it outlived the majority of manga throughout the years
So I haven't left a review on anything in ages. I just haven't felt like giving my thoughts on anything I've read or seen. This manga was very interesting to read. It doesn't really have a story but it does? I mean there really aren't any arcs. Basically one chapter stuff happens and it ends in the same chapter. But references are made to things that happened in past chapters. I would suggest this manga if you are just bored and don't really have anything to do. There are a lot of cute moments but it takes a bit for it to really happen. I'mnot a big fan of how it ended but I still gave it an 8.
