Record of Grancrest War

I remember reading the manga in my early years of Community College and here I am now with a nice job. This series was good considering the release was 5-6 years ago. The story itself is unique as I have never seen a take involving crests in the magic world. Just the simple idea of absorbing other leader's crests to become stronger is peak by itself. The manga is following a realistic yet cruel take on old school warfare. It's not like the heavily watered down Anime, it makes sense here with logical amounts of story. I liked the direction it was going but sadly thelong term story couldn't meet the hype. In the later chapters, the events feel underwhelming and out of place? Then you find out this is just...a LN promotion which tried to justify the crappy ending. When will people learn LN promotions in manga are easily forgotten? This is a 6/10 work, it had potential but sadly it was unable to keep the traction over the long game
