Molly Star-Racer

Molly Star-Racer is basically a concept version of Oban Star-Racers presented as a short music video. The video is only about two minutes long, but it gives a small look at some of the early ideas behind the show. Molly, Jordan, Prince Aikka, and several characters who later appear in the second arc all show up in the video. However, because it’s so short, there isn’t any real character development for anyone. The focus is mostly on the visuals and the general vibe rather than telling a story. It feels more like a quick preview or proof of concept than a complete short film. Thereisn’t a lot happening, but it still gives a neat look at what the creators were thinking early on. It’s a decent watch and mildly interesting, though the short runtime means it doesn’t really stand out as anything special. Overall, it’s mainly recommended for people who are already fans of Oban Star-Racers, or are just interested at concept videos of animes.
