Bonus episode and direct sequel to "Android Yuri" anime, it's one minute longer than the show and well spent. For the entire duration of this special Nadeshiko and Akane are doing ecchi things in the apartment, just like the main anime but it's spicier and sexier, full of love and wholesomeness. The sexual scenes are very much enjoyable, nothing was wasted, I liked the moans and their plays and I loved the shots and the angles, two luscious bodies coming together is a treat to behold. It's the same staff at the same studio, nothing to worry about the overall quality, it stayed the same here in allaspects. Recommended to all yuri lovers who like some spice to it and be sure to watch this if you've seen the previous 8 episode anime made by Nyan Pollution.
Does It Count If You Lose Your Innocence to an Android? Special is a follow-up special to the main series that attempts to expand on the relationship between the human protagonist and the android character, focusing on emotional intimacy, ethical ambiguity, and the blurred line between programmed affection and genuine human connection. What makes it initially mildly engaging is that it tries to revisit the core premise with a slightly more reflective tone. The special leans more into quiet conversations and extended interaction scenes, attempting to add emotional weight to the central human–android dynamic. However, one of the biggest problems is that it does very little toactually deepen the ideas introduced in the main series. Instead of expanding the philosophical questions in a meaningful way, it mostly rehashes the same emotional conflicts with slightly altered presentation. The relationship still feels structurally shallow, with limited evolution in how the characters understand each other. The android character in particular remains more of a thematic symbol than a fully developed individual. A major weakness is that the special lacks narrative purpose. There is no strong progression, no meaningful resolution, and no significant escalation of stakes—just extended emotional scenes that circle around the same questions without answering them. The pacing is slow and often stagnant, with long stretches of dialogue that do not lead to clear development or insight beyond what was already established. A recurring issue is repetition. Many emotional beats mirror the original series, making the special feel redundant rather than additive. The human protagonist also remains largely passive, continuing to react rather than actively shape the direction of the relationship or its ethical implications. The supposed central theme—whether emotional connection with an android is “real”—is still explored only superficially, without deeper philosophical or narrative payoff. Side elements and secondary interactions are minimal and do not significantly expand the world or emotional context. Visually, the special is consistent with the main series but does not elevate its presentation in any meaningful way to justify its existence as a continuation. The soundtrack maintains a soft romantic tone, but like the storytelling, it lacks moments of strong emotional impact or resolution. Of course, the intention seems to be a reflective extension of the original idea, but it ends up feeling more like filler content than a meaningful continuation. Additionally, the lack of new narrative direction makes it difficult to justify as a standalone or essential viewing experience. Overall, I gave Does It Count If You Lose Your Innocence to an Android? Special a 5/10 because it is a repetitive and underdeveloped continuation that fails to meaningfully expand its central themes, suffers from stagnant pacing, weak narrative progression, shallow character development, and a lack of emotional or philosophical payoff.
