I saw the ratings and I’m really disappointed—the comments, too. Most people didn't even give the anime a fair chance. I’m currently reading the manga and, yes, it’s an isekai with overpowered dragons. Still, the story itself is worth it! I might view the anime differently because I know the source material, but many people rated it after only four episodes. The plot builds up gradually and keeps improving. If you don't stick with it, you're missing out. It’s not a 10/10, but that’s a high bar anyway. When you dive into modern isekai, you can't complain about the genre basics; you know what you’re gettinginto. While many series are rushed, this story clearly puts effort into its development. That said, the anime adaptation itself isn't as good as the manga. It focuses on irrelevant plot points, likely included to pad the runtime. If they had stuck closer to the manga's pacing, the story would be much further along. While there might not have been enough material for a full 24-episode run, the slow 'slice-of-life' pace makes sense in context. Visually, the animation is admittedly mediocre due to heavy CGI and still images—though you can use 'camera-work' on still frames effectively to save budget. In the end, I chose a 'Mixed Feelings' rating because I recognize the anime's flaws, but I still believe it's a great watch if you give it a chance. Regardless, I’m glad the story got an adaptation and I’m looking forward to the second season.

Story about a dude reincarnating as a dragon egg and then evolving. Quite an easy story to follow, reminds me of "Kumo desu ga, Nani ka?" which was what first drew me to it. Whilist the Manga / Novel story itself is "decent", the show itself is abysmal due to its structure. The 23-24 minute runtime, is taken up by first 2-3 minutes of just recapping the last episode and then you are left with a story that moves with a crawling pace. They took 12 episodes to do what Frieren or Hell Mode wouldve done in 2-3 episodes. So unless u have time to spare for acheap graphics, 3rd class TV revised story and would not like to see any development at all for the MC in 12 episodes, then i reccomend it! For anyone else, do not watch it.
bad ending bad ending dont like how they end it, dragging out their "gonna converse to human girl or vise versa" to end it with them not talking, whats the point in adding the human girl in the screentime if they wont talk at all i mean i noticed throughout the series they give us hint they gonna talk but they dragging it out way too long then just noticed human girl has a lot of screentime without talking to the MC dragon, in the end i conclude the anime's MC are dragon and the human girl cause obviously intent to drag out their convoscenes too much that human girl has a lot of screentime, its anime so its better they change that method into flashback to save time for other scenes to add story was ok plot was ok+that dragged out to convo with human girl characters was idk pacing was ok music was idk ending was dogsht not recommended, hell mode isekai is bettter than this
This is another "isekai but with a twist" type anime. Im typically not a fan because they tend to come up with so many stupid things for an MC to reincarnate as. I wasn't expecting much from Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling. But for a moment I was actually getting into it. The MC is not a dragon hatchling the entire time. He evolves which is what keeps the anime interesting. His goal is to become as human as possible to be with a girl he really cares for. And the girl is pretty likeable. So you do root for the MC. The issue comes from the pacing. Alotof it is the MC grinding xp to evolve. The main villain is not interesting. And the last episode is very unsatisfying. Its a 6/10 It didnt live up to its full potential.
a show i had higher hopes for. each episode the budget got a little bit smaller and the pacing got a bit more stretched. they could have comfortably fit the exact same content in 8 episodes had they cut a lot of repeat filler. i dont think the underlying writing was very strong either. a lot of the drama is based on the main character trying to become something humans will talk to. ultimately all of that was a waste of time and didnt really go anywhere, and this is a rare complaint, but id also say that the voicework is also rather bad. whilethe main character is fine, the black lizard is a character you hear a lot from, and hearing a grown woman say shi shi shi over and over gets old. this is a story that needs a second pass to be good. like the VN or manga its based on needs a re-write now that the author is hopefully more experienced. waste of a premise, waste of a kumo desu ga clone, disappointing, but the most criminal thing is how each evolution the designs got more generic and ugly. maybe next creature reincarnation show wont be a dud. with hindsight, 4/10 is probably still too generous. feel free to rate it lower, its done a lot to deserve it.
