Under the belief that the omnipotent god Mitama will come to save him, Yukito Urabe participates in a ritual to become the new leader of his father's cult. But when the boy drowns during the ritual, he wishes to be reborn in a world without gods or religion. Reawakening in a completely different world devoid of spirituality. He meets a deviant girl named Aruaru, who introduces him to her village. However, his idyllic image of this world's society is short-lived when he witnesses a public group suicide and learns of the country's end-of-life system: at any moment, the government may order any citizen to die. Aruaru and her sister are forcibly taken for execution soon after, prompting Yukito to rush to their rescue—but to no avail. In a moment of desperation, Yukito recalls his father's teachings and utters a prayer for Mitama to save them. Seemingly answering his call, a little girl descends from the sky and annihilates everyone who harmed Yukito and his friends. To Yukito's surprise, the girl introduces herself as Mitama. This show is hilarious. I think the bad CGI filtered a lot of people who gave it bad ratings but for those who didn't get it : it's on purpose. they have a small budget so they went full shitpost and made the cgi as bad as they could and It's just amazing. If you read the manga you can notice the changes that they made (like how they turn scary looking monsters to hilarious CGI beasts). The characters are great, the story is weird and goes unexpected ways every episode. and most impotantly it's done by a passionate staff who add to the humourwith their shitposts. The Seiyuus performance is also great as you feel how much fun they are having with it. This type of humour might not be for eveyone though. But if you like weird japanese comedy this is absolute gold.
This is the best anime of the spring season of 2023, although, no, it might just be the best anime ever made. Aoi Akashiro is a genius, and that says it all. If you're a fan of unpredictable plot, unexpected twists and turns, you've come to the right place. I'll start my second paragraph by repeating: Aoi Akashiro is a genius. You don't believe in God? Are you an atheist? Are you a scientist? After watching this anime, you will discard your ridiculous principles, because there is a goddess here - LOLI! Even if you're not an atheist, why worship all sorts of Buddhas, Poseidons,Zeus (what's in fashion now), if you can worship LOLI? One Lola goddess and the population of the entire globe will be converted to monotheism. The protagonist, Yukito, finds himself in a world where, left behind in a village, he realizes that none of the inhabitants know the word "god." However, it is time to find out, as we have an evil empire that wants to destroy the village for unexplained reasons. That's where Yukito's powers come in: a powerful loli, the prerequisites for a scientific and technological revolution, and also the ability to make fancy alcohol. What will come of this? The hell knows, due to the abundance of unexpected twists and turns in the plot, I'm completely confused, so let's just admire the goddess from now on. Many viewers have had time to laugh at the 3D animation, which is silly, because even Ufotable Studios couldn't create the kind of beauty in the new season of Demon Slayer that Palette created. It's a shame that almost no one has been able to reach their level (and only Berserk is an exception), which is why the anime industry staggers in the same place, there is no progress. We need to learn from "Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou". Despite my dislike of isekai, this work was a unique case, for it mocks the clichéd nature of the genre through amusing dialogues, moments and drawn faces. It is also dominated by a number of references, such as to wahoo. In a way, the anime makes fun of many things, but not all viewers understood that and therefore gave it a low rating. Well, I recommend this anime only to people who like to laugh with all sorts of cringe-worthy crap like boob jokes, alcohol and various isekai things. If you're not a connoisseur of beauty, then turn around and go watch boring crap like "The Eminence in Shadow", but hopefully you can still realize someday that Aoi Akashiro is a genius.
KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World is a fantasy isekai anime that explores the themes of religion, morality, and free will. The story follows Yukito, a boy who is transported to a world without gods after a failed ritual, and Mitama, the goddess who answers his prayers. The anime has a mix of action, comedy, and drama, as Yukito and Mitama face various challenges and enemies in their quest to restore faith and order in the godless world. The animation is well-done, the characters are likable and funny, and the plot is engaging and unpredictable. I recommend this anime to anyone who enjoysisekai, fantasy, or satire. It is a refreshing and original take on the genre that will make you laugh, cry, and think.
Another Anime that get low review because people who are not supposed to watch this anime picked it up. Before that. The bad part: - MC is the typical anime loser MC that get's freaked out if a girl trys to have a sexual relationship. And Japan wonders why they have birth rate issues. - CG and various other animations are bad. Heck, for whatever reason, they where fast forwarded ruining the enjoyment even further - Tons of Censorship because?????? This is one of those anime that should have had nudity and more. - Is NOT for everyone. Not everyone can enjoys this anime. To make it very easyto understand: Do you like gag humour? Do you like perverted jokes? Do you like explicit sex related scenes? If no, skip this anime. So the good part: - Tons of sex related jokes to the level you have no idea what in the world you just watched. - Exactly because of what I just wrote, as well as other stuff, you have no way how to explain what you just watched. - If you ever want to see how religious brainwashing works, this is a good anime (otherwise, no, it's not a good part since religious brainwashing) - The pace is all over, you have no idea and no way to tell what in the world will happen next (usually). - tons of humour, but only if you are ok with sex related jokes (otherwise, stay away since it's not for you)
TLDR: Ugly, fan service, poorly written. Random Isekai anime with inexistant MC and huge boobs / horny womans to attract the average otaku, while everything else is empty and boring. Wouldn't recommand. Ok so the animation is ugly / lazy most of the time, and I won't even mention the 3D stuff, but it can be fine if the story is good... right? Yeah no, the story won't save the ugly visuals. It's boring af, ridiculous sometimes, and even if you watch it as a joke (which I did, with friends) it's still not very interesting and has a lot of censorship like they don't assumethe enormous amount of fanservice they do, pretty boring for an anime talking about sex litteraly all the time. And, about sex : it's the classical "every character with a vagina has huge boobs and wants to make out with the MC while the MC is boring and uninteresting". Like, c'mon... Oh and there's a lady teaching sex practices (like, not just how to make a baby but more like BDSM stufd) to a litteral CHILD and the lead female is a loli who looks like a 12 year old. So yeah pretty weird to have that among the horny huge boobs harem and the censorship. If you want to watch an isekai or stuff talking about gods, just find something else. And if you just enjoy casual harem / fanservice stuff, you can find better animes as well.
