I really don't know where to start with this review or end. It's not even fitting. I don't understand how the other reviewer gave it such a commendable response. But it really doesn't deserve it. There are Japanese films that can fall very easily into this genre and they are far more commendable. A guy gets hired, mainly by rejected men or something---or he just takes it upon himself and he basically runs around raping women who seem to love it after ward. It makes you question the morality of a society and the people who came up with it.If I take it as a feminist that I am, I'm utterly offended. If I take it as tongue-in-cheek nonsense...well it's...fitting. Basically this story was developed to appeal to the adult male audience (no not the pubescent) so they can start reading mangas. I don't really think adult males need such story concepts in order to get into reading mangas. Berserk is a good example of good story with extreme themes. In any event, as a manga it was a bomb---so it boggles my mind why it was turned into a mini-anime. As a short analysis of each rated part of the anime, it's not going to be pleasant. Story---there actually is a meaning as to why the guy does what he does. You just have to wonder how rape is a plausible teaching lesson. Is the story rich and developed and grasping...no---there's just violence and misogynistic behavior towards women. Art---it's like that 80s style art from like yaoi hentai with the same style of music. You decide if you like it or not. I find that sort of thing really trite, like watching 70s porn or something. Sound---Meh, all you hear is screams and squelching sounds. There isn't much dialogue to listen too. Character----you get no real character development. But if I remember correctly, because it's been a while. I wanted him to hook up with his secretary I think. Love for a rapist?! I know, I know---the way these animes make you think...~sigh~ Enjoyment---I remember it, I can't say I enjoyed it since I found it an utter disappointment. Don't ask what I was thinking I would get from watching it. At this point I just put it down to me wanting to see as many animes as I could so I can say I watched them, even if they are crap. Overall---it got hire than I thought it would. ^_^
The first time I encountered "The Rapeman" was a trilogy of videos in the early days of YouTube, from around 2006 to 2009, called Rapeman Begins, Rapeman Returns, and Rapeman Forever. A little more than 10 years later, I suddenly stumbled across these videos again while browsing reddit, and after being surprised that they're still floating around out there on the internet, I finally decided to seek out and watch the anime that these videos take their footage from. Based on a manga that run from 1985 to 1992, The Rapeman, (or The Reipuman), is a satirical black comedy series that follows Keisuke Iwasaki, a popularhigh school PE teacher by day and the notorious "Rapeman" at night. He collaborates with his uncle, a former surgeon, to dispense his brand of justice on behalf of clients who seek the assistance of their business, the appropriately titled "Rapeman Services". Be it exacting vengeance on an ex-lover, mending the relationship between a daughter and her parents, or suppressing the anger of a disgruntled employee, Keisuke never falters in completing his assigned contracts. Whenever corrupt women wander, the Rapeman arrives to forcibly change their sullied hearts. This two episode OVA series is so offensive, over-the-top, and out there, that it's ends up being incredibly hilarious to watch purely on how absurd it is. It's some of the finest black comedy that I've seen in an anime. I would review the animation or audio, but we all know that's not why we're here (they're both decent by the way, for the 2 people who care). My only real complaint is that it's only 3 episodes long. I never thought that I would say this about a hentai, but I wanted more plot. That's right, I want more plot from this hentai. The explicit sex isn't the real focus here anyway, as the comedy and silly nature of the series is whats driving it. The manga had been finished by this point for 2 years, and there was plenty more to adapt. So much to adapt that there were several live action movies, and yes, a series of live action movies DOES exist based on this series. Should you watch The Rapeman. Hell yes, it's an instant hentai classic. And you should definitely follow it up with the original manga, the live action series, and the previously mentioned comedy dub that exists out there somewhere on Youtube if it hasn't been taken down already.
I was going to watch the godfather trilogy but decided to watch what some call the Japanese godfather "the rapeman" a trilogy so good that it makes all other media look like madamweb in comparison it is a excellent warped depiction of what the children of epstein's island had to face on a day-to-day basis the mental toll it takes to experience true art of such a picasso esque level is almost something antithetical to human nature itself and will bring the average plebeian to tears the closest I've gotten to this level of feeling was reading george orwell's 400 page essay on how tomake the best cup of tea 1/10 would rape again!
(minor spoilers, you can continue if you want) So I was bored and I just decided to scroll through HentaiList10's recommendations(shout out to HentaiList btw) to see if there will be anything interesting. And interesting there was, because one title caught my attention "The rapeman" "the rapeman?" I thought to myself, "was this some kind of R rated Batman copy? Or some obscure '80s snuff film?" now all of this perked my interest, and curiosity the longer I thought about it, so i decided to check it out.. Story\plot: "Keisuke Iwasaki is a popular high school PE teacher by day and the notorious "Rapeman" at night. Asa masked avenger, he collaborates with his uncle, a former surgeon, to dispense his brand of justice on behalf of clients who seek the assistance of their business, "Rapeman Services." Be it exacting vengeance on an ex-lover, mending the relationship between a daughter and her parents, or suppressing the anger of a disgruntled employee, Keisuke never falters in completing his assigned contracts. Whenever corrupt women wander, the Rapeman arrives to forcibly change their sullied hearts." yes, in the first sentence this is basically Batman but instead of beating the shit out of criminals or people with minor offenses this guy "THE RAPEMAN" fuck the shit out of them, and by the end of his brutal assault his victims basically become tax paying citizens. So him and his uncle basically run a business where anyone who calls them up like for example if they want their daughter to marry another man or stop their daughter becoming a criminal then this is where you call them and they will knock some sense "into" your daughter, one more i want to mention is how absurd this series is what do I mean by this? Driver:"FUCKING HOMOS, WHAT THE SHIT" the gorilla dude:"Niggah say what?" another instance Is when THE RAPEMAN encounters his victims he announces himself as "I am TEH RAPEMAN" then when he's in the middle of his fucking he "screams I AM JUSTICE" (lmao he thinks he's Batman) another instance is when he's fucking another woman and he yells out "TRIANGLE INFINITY MAGNUM 3.1" like he's fucking Conjuring up a spell. Conclusion: overrall this was a pretty absurd and interesting experience 10 RAPEMANS\10
