1. Story (2) Unoriginal plot and team combos, useless dialogue, unsatisfactory ending 2. Art (6) Deku looked super sketchy, all budget was used on Todoroki, it was ok 60% of the time 3. Sound (3) the bgm was good but the plot was kinda lame so the animators were trying to hard to use the music. so everything was a mess bc they were trying to use boss music for a not cool scene 4. Character (2)Everybody was OOC and their personality was nerfed for the sake of the OVA and their personalities became so one-dimensional and minimal 5. Enjoyment (1) we had a good time but not really. we enjoyed roasting Bones over this failed OVA during our commentary while watching 6. Overall (2) would not watch this OVA again but would watch anime again. *disclaimer, we are not bnha haters, only bnha ova haters Read on for more dissing and hate :c *** sorry, not spoiler-free ** Ep 1 1. Recap was totally unncessary. if you were a big fan enough to watch the OVA, you would have known all of this. They couldve fit all of this into one episode, saving their budget and our time. 2. Realisically, the person they were trying to save would've already died by the time they reached them. 3. What was the point of dividing up the class into Team A and Team B when you would just ignore them?? They totally ignored the other half of the class, who already don't have enough screen time in the anime. 4. The part where Midoriya was muttering and analyzing the situation could've been totally omitted and super unnessary. This was very OOC of Midoriya because my boi would've been running while thinking this because he's very efficient. 5. Speaking of efficiency, nobody was doing anything productive other than talking!! They should've been showing more action instead of talking! Acting while talking! NO! They just talked and talked and talked. 6. Speaking of subdivision, Dekuharem and Bakusquad were too unoriginal. For an OVA, shouldn't they explore other team combos that we would be unable to see in the OG anime plot. 7. Tsu-chan??? This OVA made her personality "Call me Tsu-chan" they basically nerfed her personality she's actually very smart but in this OVA they made her super annoying and her only dialogue was "Call me Tsu-chan" and "kero~" 8. Bakugo was the only character that did anything decent in this OVA. He didn't talk that much and was a man of action what a refreshing change 9. Momo/Iida - momo is a hero in training, she could've totally dodged that debris it was falling for a full three seconds and why is Iida so useless he faced off against Stain the Hero Killer his Recipro Burst is super fast and OP but in here he was slow enough to damage his equipment also shouldnt his equipment hold up better damage than this and damn his helmet is useless whos in charge of the Support Department whats the point of the helmet 10. did the animators nerf Iida in the first three minutes of the OVA bc they didn't want to draw him 11. Todoroki already went against Dark Shadow during their summer training camp arc that was crashed by the League of Villains why is he so inexperienced in dealing with Dark Shadow and had to wait for Kaminari to turn on the lights??? 12. The animators made Kaminari's personality so wimpy :(( // Ep 2 13. Recap totally unnecesary, you wouldve been able to understand everything if you only watched ep 2, then what was the point of ep 1?? Exactly, that's how useless ep 1 was 14. Bakusquad reaches the dummy 1) dummy was crushed under hundreds of pounds of debris from the chest down for at least 30 min acc to the first ep 2) his blood circulation is prob cut off by now cardiac output is compromised so his brain and heart is prob lacking oxygen so hes dead but 3) they kept arguing for 5 mins on whether or not they should save the dummy HES DEAD 4) KAMINARI IS NOT THIS MUCH OF A WIMP 15. why are the girls such wimps after they saved Iida and met Aizawa sensei?? they wouldve totally understand and went back to save the rest of the class but Aizawa sensei had to explain?? that such accidents like Iida are a given in resuce missions? where is their common sense 16. why are they adding more people that need saving, aren't they heroes why are they also making themselves liabilities 17. Kirishima wanted to stay back with Todoroki even though he had an injured person on his back???/ sure he's manly bro but even Kirishima has more sense the animators did him dirty and took away his brain 18. the animators did everyone dirty 19. Deku, the protagonist, was so useless what did he do this whole time?? sure he exploded some rocks to get to momo and then kicked open the elevator but then they shouldnt have been injured in the first place so it cancels out 20. that drawing of Todobaku blasting themselves out on a geyser was supposed to be cool with the cool background music but it was something a kindergarten could draw it was so low budget 20(a) low budget is expected the whole OVA midoriya's face was super off 21. can't believe todoroki and midoriya had a monologue sequence before they bothered to check where Bakugo was BRUh 22. that Dekubaku moment was so cringe why did they had to argue for a whole ten min to get Bakugo to agree to use a cane like theyre in a high risk situation Bakugo should have had more sense than to refuse Deku's help 23. the whole Iida recovery moment was so cringe and unnecessary we don't need his whole speech about how he was useless during the whole OVA were the animators feeling guilty about nerfing Iida during the first ep so they gave him some screentime?? 24. why is Aizawa so proud of them for this mission in a real mission that dummy would have been dead or pulled his back or broken his neck after getting manhandled by Kirishima to safety while Bakugo was exploding the debris everywhere

Honestly, I wish we could see more of the dorm life instead of the training that we can already see enough of in the main story. It's not like this OVA is in any way terrible but it is very mediocre. Of course for some fans, just seeing some moments with their favourite characters will be enough and I admit, for Tokoyami, Todoroki, Deku and Bakugou fans, there surely are some nice screens and scenes. There are also small scenes of Izuku and Ochaco being cute, and Iida and Momo having a nice relationship as class representatives. Other than that, this OVA is very bland, the objective theyaim to accomplish is nothing original nor interesting. I wish we could see how Team B training went too but as we can easily see, this group contained less popular characters who will probably never be much developed. Previous special episodes were much more enjoyable, at least for me. This one is nothing special. 5/10
Well that was a fun little side story to chew on. Other than the overly excessive recap of their names and quirks and all that which we knew beforehand I enjoyed it. the moment at the end with Bakugo being humbled even slightly and accepting Deku help as his "cane" made me smile. Favorite part was the new big three teaming up to reach the surface after all realizing the ice would be building up pressure. All of them figuring it out right at the same time is a nice touch. The boys knew what was up! Liked how many of the Class 1A studentsgot to show off. All the big names that is. Momo, Tsu, Kamanari, Kirishima, Uraraka all had good moments. Overall a fun set of ovas showing our heroes going beyond Plus Ultra!!
Apparently they did this OVA just so we wouldn't forget the work, because the story is very bland, it doesn't add anything new and I didn't even have fun. As it was an OVA, they could have chosen a different footprint showing more of the characters' lives and not the same thing as always. Finally, I don't recommend it very much if you are not a fan of swimming Boku no hero, as it is an empty story, which will make you not wait for a season more than anything else. But if you are a fan. Compared to the original series there is no comparison, the originalis 100 times higher, so don't take this OVA as a base to see the other seasons
So I dislike Boku no Hero Academia...this is pretty obvious if you were to look at my list but I've ended up in a situation where I watch this series with a friend of mine and that's normally fine. We just critique the series a bit and laugh as we go along... Look, if this shit is going to keep getting side episodes why does it always have to be a training scenario. It's boring, they already are training in the main series on the regular give me some more goofy stuff so I can find a way to like these damn characters. It's thesame beats the series always does at this point in the game. >Bakugo does something that surprise the other characters around him because he's suppose to be smart, so apparently it's weird he can use his brain >Iida gets yeeted and does fucking nothing again as far as I am concerned. >Female characters? lol >Speaking of that, Ochaco being a mockery of a character who was kinda alright but now just feels like she's just pines for Deku and serves as a speaker piece for the other characters to understand Deku >Todoroki/Bakugou/Deku being the only kids that can be really useful for the stopping the biggest crisis ongoing. >All Might dick sucking The second movie was outlandishly stupid but it was actually fun by it's sheer retardation. The only thing that was interesting wasn't even unique to the ova. It was realizing that Deku has two funko pop figures in his room from the Shout Baby ED. Hilariously bad taste.
