I waited days for someone else to review this. No one has come to the ring yet, so fuck it I will. This OVA brings back all the reasons I loved this anime. The characters. A good story can only be made from a sound cast, and this anime has it! Yeah maybe they're a bit eccentric and maybe their world/atmosphere is a bit crazy...but god is it a fun watch. I was really REALLY happy to see that Sherlock was getting an OVA, if only just to relive the experience just one more time. And it didn't disappoint. Fun shorts with characters except without the heartachethe original had. This serious seems to be set before the atmosphere change in the original anime, so its a lot more funhearted...which brings me back to why I loved this season! If you've finished the original series and crave more, this does not disappoint! <3

Well, this OVA is just hilarious and absolutely great. A perfect little dessert after the main series — short, chaotic, and packed with the exact kind of unhinged comedy that makes Kabukichou Sherlock so much fun. If you loved the main series’ quirky detective agency and wild Kabukicho energy, this OVA doubles down on the absurdity. It’s pure fanservice in the best way: more ridiculous cases, even crazier group dynamics, and plenty of moments that had me laughing out loud. No big overarching drama, no heavy stakes — just the gang being themselves in the most entertaining way possible. The OVA keeps the same light, episodic mystery-comedyformat but turns the silliness up to eleven. The cases are shorter and dumber (in the funniest sense), and the interactions between the characters feel even more unfiltered. It’s the kind of story you watch when you just want to smile and relax. Nothing intense, nothing deep — just good old chaotic fun in the neon streets of Kabukicho. Everyone gets their moments to shine in peak comedic form. Sherlock’s genius idiot energy, Watson’s suffering, and the rest of the agency’s antics are on full display. The chemistry is even better here because there’s no need to push a big plot — they can just be unhinged together. Some side characters from the series pop up and steal scenes too. The animation keeps the same vibrant, expressive style as the TV series. The OVA has that extra bit of polish for gags and timing, which makes the physical comedy land perfectly. The voice cast is clearly having a blast, and it shows — the delivery on the ridiculous lines is spot-on. This OVA is pure comedy gold. Short, sweet, and ridiculously funny. If you enjoyed the main series even a little, you owe it to yourself to watch this. It’s the perfect way to spend a relaxed evening laughing at the gang’s latest nonsense. Highly Recommended as a fun bonus to the series. WATCH IT. You’ll thank me when you’re grinning the whole way through. 😂🕵️♂️
