In this season, the Tomb Raiders embark on a new journey β the Hanging Coffin Temple. The Hanging Coffin Cliff is not only the third tomb in the Nine-Locked Tomb, but also the location where the attackers and defenders vie for the Tomb Breaking Token. A fierce martial arts battle with sudden changes in the situation also erupts along with internal conflicts within the Tomb Raiders faction. (Source: Bangumi, translated)

Note: I've watched all 4 seasons of Mu Wang Zhi Wang before writing this review, also this review will contain spoilers for previous seasons. This season is also a sequel, though it appears a short time frame has passed since the events of last season. The plot of this season really centers around the imperial family's power struggle, and them using the friction within the divide the tomb factions (raiders and guards) to achieve their goals. Interestingly enough, this season's focus isn't as much on tomb raid/guarding and instead has alot of political manuvering. That said, this is still an enjoyable watch, the fights aregood and the plot is quite interesting. Some of the plot threads in the previous seasons get expanded/resolved here. The end is a bit anti-climactic however. I would still recommend this season if you liked the previous ones.
