Suki na Mono wa Suki Dakara Shou ga Nai!!: Onsen ni Ikou!

So, nobody has reviewed this yet, eh? Well, don’t worry about spoilers because nothing much consequential happens in this episode. My disclaimer is that I haven’t read the VN (yet) so I’m not sure if this uses content from it or not, I’ll be rating it as a standalone thing instead. It seems to me that this episode was pretty much just made as an excuse for a little fanservice. Obviously, you get to see the guys in a hot spring (not all that much, but still…) and a little bit of steamy stuff between Nanami and Shinichirou, but that’s about all, unless you’re quite intoage regression. Yes, the plot is a magical hotspring that can transform your body, I guess. It’s just meant for a few jokes so nothing is really explained. It’s plot device A, and the character that shows up for all of a minute or two at the end to explain it is plot device B. It’s resolved pretty quickly and not very interesting compared to the series it follows. It’s fine to throw in random elements just to make some jokes, if the jokes are good. For some reason we have some really unfortunate and dated transphobia instead. It really smacks you in the face that the series *ends* on a line like that. Overall it had some steamy moments, and if you want to see more of the guys, you’ll watch it anyway, but it wasn’t all that memorable, was very silly, and depicted one character awfully. If that doesn’t put you off, it’s probably fine… I guess.
