Twins Megumu Kobayashi and Mitsuru Kobayashi attend different schools, one for girls and one for boys. One day, bored with being surrounded by others of their own gender, they decide to swap places with one another. While the deception seems to go unnoticed for some time, things get a bit more complicated when the possibility of romance arises. Kobayashi ga Kawai sugite Tsurai!! begins when a heartfelt confession from Megumu leads to sharing a kiss with the upperclassman Aoi Sanada while disguised as her brother. This leaves Aoi, who was never good with girls to begin with, questioning if he likes guys instead. Likewise, Mitsuru finds the haughty queen of the school, Azusa Tokugawa, in a vulnerable position that leaves her heart racing while in his (her) arms. The two couples are lovey-dovey, but the secret of the twins' switched identities has not been revealed yet...

This is an anime with one of the worst plot I've ever seen. It seems to be these network videos, like "One Piece in 6 min". Plot and development of characters completely poorly developed. The only good moment of this anime, is in the second episode. I do not care if the anime is made to promote manga. This anime is just a badly made compilation, the manga is probably much more interesting, well developed and fun to read. But the anime is just awful. I do not recommend. Total score: 5/10. (Obs... I do not know how to speak English, I'm using the translator. I'm sorry forthe grammar mistakes. ^^)
IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE SERIES: I don't recommend watching these two episodes. There's a lot of missing KEY details that these weren't able to cover given that this is merely a "trailer" to promote the manga. IF YOU HAVE READ THE SERIES: This is great to see both Megumu's and Mitsuru's identities be revealed. Story: 4/10 The story itself is amazing but these two episodes did not do it justice! Art: 9/10Go Ikeyamada has a beautiful style, which I'm happy to see wasn't lost in the anime. Sound: 3/10 Pretty generic soundtrack, sadly Characters: 10/10 Like I mentioned earlier in my rating for the art, Go Ikeyamada's characters are always drawn beautifully &have amusing chibi reactions that never seem to grow oid Enjoyment: 7/10 Overall: 7/10 Given that I've read half the series already, I did thoroughly enjoy the first episode. The second wasn't as great, but it did show the siblings relationship and Mitsuru a little better than the previous.
