A Corgi can certainly dream! Taking a break from the frequent antics his colleagues get him into, Bebop crewmate Ein envisions himself sipping a tropical beverage on the beachside and scuba diving with Edward amid a barrier reef. In this "picture drama," Ein fantasizes about his ideal summer vacation. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This marvel of modern animation is truly a blessing, and I, for one, feel like I can finally follow my dreams because of its divine power. Let me evaluate this masterpiece, though no numbers could truly express the raw, emotional power of this one minute short: Story:10 The best story is no story at all, and Ein no Natsuyasumi's power to put unrelated drawings together is masterful. Art:10 My Eyes bled rainbows because they couldn't handle the beauty of this. If you like colors and art, and colorful art, you'll love this. Sound:10 I have no idea what this music is supposed to be ( I swear there's a sectionthat sounds like the intro to "Pump It" by the Black Eyed Peas though), but I've incorporated saying "la la la"s and "we are the doggy doggy dogs" into my everyday life, with great results. Would recommend. Character:10 Ein is love. Ein is Life. Enjoyment:10 *Can't be put into words* Overall: If you desire to find the meaning of life, the secrets to being rich, or if you just have a minute to spare, watch this. You won't regret it. Probably.
Cowboy Bebop is a revolutionary anime from the brilliant mind of Shinichiro Watanabe that changed how westerners of a generation viewed anime, and still continues to affect the industry to this day. And this is a dog. As this is the first picture drama I have ever seen, I can't say it was bad. I have no reference point to justify saying that. It showed some art of Ein from Bebop, and thanks to the music it still managed to bring back the nostalgia of the anime. All in all, for a minute of your time, this is worth a watch. Even if you haven't seen/don't carefor the anime.
This incredible special truly and perfectly demonstrates how perfection can never be achieved. At 1 minute, it is far too short to be able to enjoy the beauty of every aspect of this special to its fullest. The catchy music, the beautiful art, the heartwarming story of Ein and Ed bonding over their vacation, all so close, yet just barely out of grasp. However if it were longer, it would run the risk of being poorly produced or rushed. At the end, we as the audience are left with a tease of nirvana. We are shown the heartbreaking truth that we will never get enoughEin to satisfy our desires.
Featuring the only good character in the series, this 1 minute short is better than anything else connected to Cowboy Bebop. Unlike the TV series, it had me invested from beginning to end, never allowing me to divert my eyes for a single moment. Every one of the 62 seconds comprising Ein's Summer Vacation is polished and streamlined, providing a flawless viewing experience, especially compared to its inferior predecessors from the same franchise. I feel like I don't have to finish the main series now, because I've seen the best Bebop has to offer. This is also the reason I've thrown away my Cowboy Bebop Blu-ray boxset, savethe extras disc, which houses the masterpiece known as Ein's Summer Vacation.
It's just a slideshow of Ein and some of his adventures, there really isn't anything else to it. It's interesting to think about what Ein is doing with Edward but it does not answer many questions. My biggest gripe with this is that Sunrise, one if the biggest anime studios out there, couldn't bother at making an actual animation that involves Ein. That is this short's biggest flaw, it's a slideshow. Ein was cute though and the vibrant colors really did make this slideshow look decent. Also Ein with eyebrows at the end pretty much proves that Edward is still with Ein. 6/1010/10 for Ein
